Media telephone sangat berkembang saat ini sebagai alat komunikasi efektif dalam hubungan secara professional maupun pribadi.

Materi kali ini kita akan membahas bagaimana cara panggilan lewat telepon, menjawab telepon masuk, membuat pesan,meninggalkan pesan lewat telepon.

Berikut ekspresi-ekspresi yang digunakan:

 

Making a call

 

Greetings (Good morning/afternoon/evening).

·         May I speak to …, please?

·         I’m …(your name) from …(your company’s name)

·         I’m calling about …(your purpose)

·         Could you put me through to Mr/Mrs…?

·         Could I leave a message?

·         Could you take my message for Mr/Mrs…?

 

 

Receiving a call

·         May I help you?

·         Who’s calling, please?

·         Who’s speaking, please?

·         May I have your name, please?

·         Could I have your number?

·         Hold on, please.

Asking the caller to leave a message


  • Would you like to leave a message?
  • If I can take your name and number, I’ll ask him to call you back.
  • Just a moment please. I’ll write that down for her.
  • OK. Just a second. I’ll get a pen and some papers and note that down for her.
  • Just a minute. Let me make a note of that so I can pass your message onto her.
  • OK. I’ll mae sure (that) he gets your message.
  • Can i take a message?


 

Leaving a message

·         Can/Could you tell him that … ?

·         Can/Could you ask her to …?

·         Can/Could you take a message?
